As a Black gay man, I know the weight of leading in spaces that were never designed for us. For nearly 30 years, I held leadership roles where my authority was constantly questioned — not because of my ability, but because of my identity. I understand what it means to succeed on the outside while carrying the quiet burden of being overlooked, underestimated, and unseen.
